If your teachers use Word or Pages for pasting into their PT Gradebook, they will soon find out that special characterss (like "quotations marks", apostrophes' and - dashes) can end up printing incorrectly on the final report card. If teachers type directly into the comment box of PTG, this is not an issue. If teachers want to paste, they need to turn off straight quotes in their word processing applications. In Word, the screen looks like this:

Here is the path to get to this screen:
Word- Tools- Auto Correct - AutoFormat as you Type tab and REMOVE the √ from "Straight quotations marks" with "smart quotations marks" - OK

Please note - this only works teachers change this setting BEFORE you type into Word!
