The Standards-Based Movement or process for planning, delivering, monitoring and improving teaching and learning is sweeping the country. As a contractor working with districts around the world, the core values of standard-based education aiming for a high and deep level of student understanding lives in all districts; however, the implementations can be as different as the numerous authors who each market their own philosophy. Although PowerSchool and the Web Gradebook can't possibly be designed to handle every districts standards movement, Ken O'Connor aka "The Grading Doctor" has done an exceptional job advising Pearson. That said, it does a fine job of understanding the core values of the movement. However, you should be aware of several constraints.
